April Wrap Up

So this month has actually been pretty stressful. To start with I had all my exams in May. I knew I’d be stressed while doing my exams but I never imagined just how much. I actually ended up having a little breakdown between my 2nd and 3rd exam which was soooooo much fun of course. All I can say is that I’m so glad they’re over. Even if I am still super nervous about my results.

Then there was the attacks in Manchester. For those of you who don’t know I live in Manchester for University. I came back home a few days ago so I’m not there anymore but I was when the attacks happened and it was the closest I’ve even been to something like that. I can’t begin to imagine how the people at the arena felt that day, not to mention the families of the people who have lost their lives. I just want to say that my thoughts are with everyone affected and I really hope nothing like this happens again.

I’ve also really been struggling with my anxiety this month. I’ve been struggling to even leave my house without having a panic attack. The main thing though is that I got a job and then lost it because I couldn’t bear to leave the house one day. It’s only made my anxiety worse about having no money. I’ve seen a few people us Ko-fi to try and make some money to support their blog. So I decided I’d give that a go as well.

So I wanted to include some other people’s posts in my wrap up this month but clever me forgot to bookmark any throughout the month and I just can’t think of them off the top of my head so we’ll start that next month instead! Overall May’s been a pretty rubbish month and I can’t wait for it to be over. Roll on June.

  1. Oh no, I’m so sorry about the panic attacks! Hope you’re dealing with everything okay! I’m so glad that you’re safe and home from Manchester!
Ahh, you didn’t like Den Of Shadows! I requested it off Netgalley and IT LOOKED REALLY GOOD? I’m probably going to read it in like 2 months? hehe
I had exams too, and I’m glad they’re over but soooo nervous for the results.
You read so many books, well I actually i read 8 books as well! Hope your June is a wonderful month!

    • Thank you! Yeah i’m not sure why my anxiety’s been so bad recently. No I thought Den of Shadows sounded so amazing as well but it just disappointed me massively 😫 ! I’m not even sure how I managed to read 8 books while doing my exams. Probably because I was procrastinating so much…ah well! Hope your June is good as well ❤️

  2. You read so many good looking books! I’m really intrigued by One of Us is Lying.

I’m sorry that May was such a rough month for you. The Manchester attack was so sad. I bet it was so scary to be in the city then. I hope June ends up being a better month for you and your panic attacks lessen.

    • Oh I really hope you read it! I really liked it but I have seen a lot of mixed reviews about it. It feels like it’s one of those books where you either hate it or love it! Thank you, I hope June gets better as well ❤️

      • Yeeees!! 😀 I kinda figured out how the book was going to unravel but it was still surprising and a thrilling to read!
I heard so much about when dimple met rich and for some reason when I see a lot of hype around of a book I get unsure if I should read it (?)
But I guess I really should then 😛 I wanna see what all the fuss is about 😍
That’s really good!! Have a wonderful weekend! ❤

  5. Sorry to hear about the panic attacks and that May was a pretty rough month for you, Kirsty! I hope things start looking up and getting a bit better soon. 💕
Looks like you had a pretty good reading month though! Aside from Den of Shadows that is. I so need to read When Dimple Met Rishi soon. Maybe in between reading the Throne of Glass books which I finally started lol. I hope June turns out to be a great month for you!! 😊

  7. I just want to give you a hug. It sounds like you’ve had a rough month. I’m glad at least one element of stress is over for you with your exams being finished. Might as well put them out of your mind until your results come in. Can’t worry until then. And the Manchester attack was terrible, I’m sorry you were in the area. I hope you saw the Manchester concert it really make me happy to see people come together. Sorry your job didn’t work out because of your anxiety problems. Hopefully you can find something else which is a better fit for you and with people who are more understanding on your health issues.

Anyway, I hope this month is better for you.
